Paper collaborated with the Chinese Academy published in Nature Communications
Recently international famous journal 《Angewandte Chemie International Edition》published an important progress in molecular mechanism of microbial secondary metabolites online worked by Shuangjun Lin group, state key lab of microbial metabolism, school of life sciences and biotechnology, SJTU.
The paper 《Stereospecific Biosynthesis of β-Methyltryptophan from L-Tryptophan Features a Stereochemical Switch》not only solved the two conformations of β- methyltryptophan forming mysteries , as well as provide a way to directional synthesis of β- methyltryptophan.
The research is supported by NSFC (21372154,31121064) and 973 (2010CB833805) and the Ministry of Education Project ( 311,018 ) funding.
