研究重点：
1. 食品安全；2. 食源性细菌分子生态
主持国家自然基金重点和面上项目、国家重点研发计划政府间国际合作重点项目、国家 863项目等30余项。发表论文 270 篇，第一/通讯作者 SCIE 论文 123篇。2011 年《AEM》论文被美国微生物学会评选为 Journal highlights。作为第一发明人获得国家授权发明专利 15 项。培养毕业研究生 92 名，其中博士生 30 名；荣获上海交大十佳导师称号；主编国家级教材 1 本；担任教育部高等学校教学指导委员会副主任、国务院第五届学位委员会学科评议组成员、GHI 中国委员、中国食品保护学会副理事长、中国食品学会食品安全与标准技术分会副理事长。获得中国食品科技学会突出贡献奖、中国科协抗震救灾先进个人等荣誉。2023 年入选全球前 2%顶尖科学家榜单。
