研究重点:
地球生物学/微生物生态演化
围绕地质微生物功能群的演化及其全球环境效应这一前沿科学问题,突破深时微生物研究缺乏化石证据的瓶颈,整合“大数据分析”、“演化分子钟定年”与“环境模拟验证”等多学科方法,系统解析了光合细菌和甲烷古菌等关键功能群的起源、演化及生态影响。研究发现多个微生物新类群,厘定了其起源时间与祖先代谢特征,揭示了其对早期地球环境的适应策略。成果为理解地球宜居性演变提供了重要科学依据,在Nature Microbiology、Science Advances等期刊发表多篇高水平论文,受到国际同行高度评价,并获邀撰写综述、组织学术专辑。主持多项国家级基金,并担任国际微生物生态委员会全球气候变化委员会委员,中国古生物学会地球生物学专委会副委员长,中国微生物学会古菌学专委会委员。
